Get to know sim-process printing.
Simulated process screen printing is a technique used to reproduce full-color or photorealistic designs on garments using a limited number of ink colors.
Unlike traditional CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) process printing, primarily used for paper printing, simulated process printing is tailored explicitly for screen printing on textiles, such as t-shirts, hoodies, and other apparel items.

We try to use all water-based or discharge ink whenever possible. Some images are best done with our Bold water-based inks. The separation fee is only necessary once per design. Reorders do not incur this fee.
Sim process prints often require custom Pantone colors to achieve the desired look, so consider this when pricing your order. Pantone matches cost $20/color.
The garment color is important when deciding how to separate for the simulated process printing. If you plan on ordering multiple shirt colors or reordering a different shirt color down the road, please let us know at that time, and we can try to build the separations for those multiple shirt colors. If you don’t let us know before we separate the design the first time, reorders on different shirt colors may need new separations.
