What is an All Over Print?:
An All Over Print (AOP) is a print that covers one entire side of a shirt. These AOP shirt prints are done with screens that are 40” x 36”. That’s about the size of a truck’s front shield window.
How Is it Done?:
Screen is Made: This is one of the largest screens available. The screen is “burned” and the print is set with emulsion. Crews review the print to make sure that no mistakes are there.
Shirts are Starched: To assure that shirts are completely flat and seams are easy to print over, the shirts are starched. The crew then carefully moves each shirt over to be set on palettes.
Shirts are Set: Huge pallets are put down, our crew prepares a special technique for printing over seams and then applies a very light glue to the pallets. Shirts are very meticulously placed on each palette to assure registration is appropriate.
Project is Run: The shirts are run through the press and watched by the crew. The shirts are immediately dried in the heater and packaged to ship to you.

The Print and Shirt Become One: When the print is covering the whole side of a shirt, a breathable and long lasting ink must be used (or else the shirt would be virtually unwearable). Water based and discharge inks are the go to inks for breathable, long lasting and high quality garments.
Seams, Wrinkles and Registration: Lining up the print on an All Over Print requires an acute eye and steady hand. Seams and wrinkles can cause for flaws. A misplaced shirt can result in an off-kilter registration.
What are some All Over Print Secrets?:
Unique Prints: Many AOPs are done through a process called dye sublimation. This is a crazy process that can only be done on 100% polyester shirts. It gives you way less options and is not nearly as comfortable. Using water based inks to print your shirt results in each shirt having consistency in color, character and longevity in its wear.
Dynamic Inks: Glow in the Dark, Sun Activated and Temperature Activated inks result in dynamic AOPs. Shirts that look standard can suddenly change into brilliant tapestries when people change lighting or temperature. Nothing gets an eye on your brand like that type of magic.
